Blood-Draw

Blood is usually drawn from the arm, opposite the elbow. Samples are sent immediately to our lab for processing and results, including test descriptions, result explanations, and a toll-free number for participant questions, are mailed directly to participants within approximately two weeks.

Results may also be sent to a participant’s primary healthcare provider if the necessary information is provided. The basic blood draw includes all levels related to cholesterol, blood cells and other components such as iron and calcium.

Twelve-hour fasting is required for most blood draw tests. Inquire about specific tests if interested.
